Acknowledgements

Velda and I often receive praise for the creativity of our programs and for performing music that is rarely heard. We would like to thank some of the people who have helped us in countless ways to make this kind of programming possible.

We would like to thank our audience members who occasionally give us the names of pieces they've heard on the radio and would like to hear live. Thanks to them we have discovered some great composers and their works.

We would also like to thank the musicians who come to us with their ideas for works that they'd like to perform. Often these suggestions will spark an entire program.

We would like to thank the librarians of the Detroit Public Library, the Baldwin Library (Birmingham, Michigan) and the New York Public Library for their efficiency and enthusiasm in finding the sheet music of some long-forgotten pieces.

We would like to thank David Hempel at Eble Music Co. in Iowa City who not only does his best to find the obscure pieces of music we are looking for, but is always available for advice or ideas: www.eble.com tel. (319) 338-0313

We would like to thank Denis Havard de la Montagne, editor of Musica et Memoria in France, whose knowledge, generosity, and enthusiasm have enriched our programs: www.musimem.com
